accidental murder?

my sister started a new job a few weeks back. she really likes it, or so it seems.
last saturday was her second weekend at work. as always i asked her about the going on's of the day when she got home. she brushed it off, telling me she would tell me later, having my parents in the room and all. i could see that something was up, but soon forgot.
today waiting for the bus after uni, she unravelled saturdays events.
she works in a soap shop, so cutting soap takes up a large part of her day. this because the shop owner makes her own soap.
she was doing her job, cutting soap, when a drunk man came into the shop. he wasn't given any notice by my sister, but her colleague started chatting with him. he started making advances at her which started to agitate her.
my sister was standing at the counter with a big scissor like looking implement cutting the soap. the drunkard saw this and stuck his head in between the blades of the scissor. the scissor being quite big. he held my sisters hands and told her that he had always wanted to cut of his head like this. my sister started to panic. she feared that he would hurt himself and cause her to be an accomplice. luckily hear work mate kept her cool and managed to persuade him from the thought.

makes you wonder though, what would have happend if he shut the scissors shut while she was holding them? what trauma would he have caused? what laws would she be protected under?
luckily i don't have to think about it.
